Fuchsia Squatters

I finally splurged and bought myself a hanging fuchsia plant. I guess it was actually for Mother's Day but I went to the store and picked it out. I've wanted one for a couple of years but have always managed to talk myself out of it.

I've been very good about watering it every few days. Today I was about to water it, but since it was raining out I decided to just take the plant down and move it into the rain. Good thing I did because otherwise I would drowned the four eggs I found in a nest.

Now that I know where the nest is I'll just water it from the other side. Those silly birds really like my porch. For several years now we've had birds nesting in the porch roof. We boarded their entrance off this winter and yet they still managed to build a nest on my front porch. Squatters!
