Art

About a year ago we bought our first piece of real art for the home. The photo doesn't do it justice. I love the vibrant Fall colors in this piece. It fits in really well with the colors in our home. He's an artist from the Philippines but somehow he knows how to capture New England.

It reminds us a lot of where we had our family pictures taken.

Two weeks ago we bought a second painting from the same artist. This one will probably end up in the master bedroom. We haven't stretched this one yet.

If anyone is looking for art-ebay is a great place to find a piece that fits your style. (Just don't bid against me.)

Charlotte's Web

Here are a few shots from the play the girls and I were in last weekend. We had a lot of fun and I think the performances all went really well!
Here are the farm animals.

Mr. and Mrs. Zuckerman (me)
Mrs. Zuckerman (me again) upset at Wilbur for escaping. We chased him all through the audience. The kids really seemed to love that scene. I got to shriek and act flustered.

This is my head shot for the program. Okay, so I'm just excited about having taken a good picture.

Wildlife at the Rogers

This time the wildlife I'm talking about are actual animals not our crazy kids. We have had several visitors over the last few weeks. We saw these deer last week.
Two weeks ago the kids looked out the basement window and found a racoon looking back at them. They watched him as he ambled back into the woods for a morning nap.
We may not live in a gigantic house but we have something most people don't have. A woods with wildlife in the back of our house and in the front of our house, just a half block away--an adoroable New England town. We love where we live.

Teeth

Here is Lilly sporting her new look. The Toothless Look.

Rachael also has a new look---Braces!

Frogs

Over Winter break we went to the Boston Science Museum. We went because Geoffrey really wanted to see the Mythical Creatures exhibit. It was an okay exhibit but the new frog exhibit stole its thunder. Here are a few of our favorite Hoppers.

This lovely frog eats its younger siblings. Obviously, the older kids really liked this mammoth frog.

Reagan the Irrepressible

A friend of ours said that he has the perfect adjective for Reagan--Irrepressible. I completely agree. Here are a few funny Reagan quotes from the last week.

*When we go anywhere the first thing Reagan asks is, "Can we talk there?" If she has to be quiet, she does not want to go.

*While shopping at the store last week she was singing, "I love to see the temple." Then she wanted me to sing it. There weren't too many people around so I sang it for her, but fairly quietly. Reagan then loudly responded, "No MOM! Sing it FORTE!"

*"I love to see the temple" has slightly altered lyrics in Reagan's version. Instead of "a place of love and beauty" it is "the house of Sleeping Beauty."

*During church on Sunday (during the Sacrament) Reagan was stretching her body. Of course, you can't just stretch your body without stretching your voice and making great stretchy noises. So I told her to be quiet. She loudly answered, "But MOM I'm trying to GROW!" How dare I disturb her growing.

Yup-Irrepressible.

Snowing Again

Unbelievably It is snowing again today! Here's a video and some pictures of the snow fall last week. Reagan is not exactly making any progress in her snow shoveling. When she shovels, the snow flies over her head and lands behind her. Apparently that wasn't quite messy enough for her so then she decided that the porch was too clean and needed some snow.
