England Day 4

For the next part of our trip we rented a 9 passenger van and headed out on the left side of the road to Southern England. Michael is a really great driver here in the states but the first day was truly terrifying. Staying on the correct side wasn't the issue but he kept hugging the curb. The streets are narrow and the left side, where I was sitting, is full of thick hedges and stone walls. Well, we survived with only a few encounters with the hedges and had the most wonderful day at Leeds Castle. Many have said that it is the one of the most beautiful castles in the world. No argument here. The interior was nice and the exterior of the castle was beautiful but the grounds were outstanding. Everywhere you looked was worthy of a photo. Winding streams, flowers, weeping willows, lakes, swans, geese, peacocks, and the castle even had its own hedge maze. Enjoy the scenery.

Here we are at the center of the maze. It took us about 15-20 minutes to make it through the maze. We let Reagan lead us until we decided it was actually time to make it to the middle.
